Healing is one of those things we all say we want… until we realize what it actually asks of us.
Because healing isn’t just bubble baths, journaling, and positive affirmations.

Sometimes healing is setting a boundary that makes someone upset.

Sometimes it’s grieving a version of your life you thought you’d have.

Sometimes it’s realizing you’ve outgrown people, patterns, or places that once felt like home.

Sometimes it’s ugly crying in your car, canceling plans because you need rest, or sitting with feelings you’d rather avoid.

And sometimes?

It’s laughing harder than you have in months.
Feeling lighter.
Finding yourself again.
Trusting yourself again.

Healing isn’t linear.
It isn’t always pretty.
And it definitely isn’t comfortable all the time.

But little by little, it brings you back to yourself.

Not a new version of you...the truest version of you. 🤍

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak about the power of Brainspotting, how I integrate it into personal coaching, and then guide a group Brainspotting session for the incredible folks of Self Care Social. ✨

First of all — what an amazing room of business owners. The energy, openness, vulnerability, and willingness to try something new was so special to witness. I truly had SO much fun.

Together, we explored what it can look like to gently clear out the “stuff” that keeps us feeling stuck while also calling in more of what we want and deserve — calm, peace, courage, confidence, clarity, self-trust, and so much more.

Brainspotting is such a powerful mind-body based practice that helps us process beyond just talking about things. It allows us to connect deeper with ourselves, move through blocks, and create space to move forward in a more grounded and aligned way.

So grateful to have been able to introduce this practice to such an incredible group and to continue sharing this work that lights me up so much. 💖

But looking back reminds me that every step mattered. Every conversation, every workshop, every connection, every risk, every little (or big) leap of faith.

And honestly… those are the moments that keep you going. The moments where you realize you already made it through things you once thought would be impossible.

Feeling really grateful for this journey, for every person who has supported Live Jennuinely, and for the version of me that kept going even on the days it felt hard.

Here’s your reminder to take a second and look back at how far you’ve come too. I promise there’s more growth there than you probably give yourself credit for. 🌱

Honored to Support Teachers College Graduate Students 🌿

This afternoon, I had the privilege of leading my Your Life in Balance workshop for the incredible graduate students at Teachers College, Columbia University.

We explored the Wellness Wheel together — digging into how each area of our lives (mental health, relationships, finances, physical well-being, spirituality, career, recreation, and home environment) shapes how we show up, feel, and function day to day.

What I loved most was offering students the space to give themselves permission to pause, check in with their whole selves, and create intentional steps toward more balance, alignment, and ease. Grad school is demanding, and making time for reflective practices like this can be transformative.

A huge thank you to the students who showed up with openness, curiosity, and vulnerability. Supporting you on your wellness journey is truly one of my favorite parts of this work. 🩵

Here’s to more balance, more clarity, and more moments of grounding — even in the busiest seasons!

I had the incredible opportunity to spend 3 days at the University of Virginia as their Team Development Coach!

With the UVA College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences’ Faculty Affairs, Budget & Finance, and Data Analytics Teams, we:

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for yourself and your team is… pause. 🛑

Here’s the truth: every time you say “no” to something that drains you, you’re saying a big, wholehearted “YES” to yourself. And that “yes” isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Because when you protect your energy, you show up with more clarity, more presence, and more impact for everyone around you.

But let’s be real—we often tell ourselves “I can’t say no” or “I have to say yes” like it’s a law of the universe. It’s not. That’s a lie we tell ourselves because choosing us can feel uncomfortable in the moment. The harsh reality? You always have a choice. And sometimes the harder choice—the one that means disappointing someone else in the short term—is exactly what sets you up for long-term success and well-being.

This morning, Facebook memories took me on a trip down memory lane to my first solo conference presentation nine years ago. I stepped up to the stage to chat with college and university staff from all over New Jersey about crisis management, best practices, wellbeing, and creating safe and inclusive spaces for students and staff. It’s wild to see how far I’ve come, knowing my core values have stayed rock solid, and to imagine all the adventures still ahead. Feeling super grateful for this little Monday morning dose of nostalgia. Cheers to remembering our roots and celebrating the journey! 👏

It’s Leap Day - so it only makes sense to get real about taking leaps of faith! The last 2 years of my life has been one great leap after the next. To be honest, I’m still leaping. Here are a few things I’ve learned so far:

1. It’s not the leap that’s scary, it’s the unknown that is. Leaping, but not knowing where you may land, is what keeps us stuck in our comfort zones. Ask yourself: if you make this change/go for it and if it’s everything you imagined, is it worth it? If yes, LEAP.

2. Remember your people! Who are around you to catch you when you leap? Hold onto them tight and allow them to help you along the way. The jump is scary, but you’ve got a team to love and support you through it.

3. Expect the unexpected, and embrace it! Leaps aren’t meant to be easy, if they were, you wouldn’t learn what you need to, to make that leap worth it. If it feels hard and makes your heart race - you’re doing it right. There will be ups and there will be downs, the journey will ebb and flow. Practice gratitude as you continue on, and know these are pivotal moments along the way.

So quit the job that doesn’t serve you, start the business that speaks to your soul, do the thing that makes your heart glow and trust that your leap will bring you a landing greater than you could have ever imagined. Trust in yourself, you know what’s best for you, always. 🤍

Well, I think it’s time for a life update. Life has been quite a whirlwind the last 7 months. I accepted a new job, packed up my stuff and my dog and left my crazy and amazing life in NYC to chase new dreams and experiences. In just 6 months in my new role, I’ve been able to jet set to places like Chicago, Baton Rouge, Boston, Birmingham, Biloxi, and Orlando (to name a few). Y’all - I even learned how to pump gas in the process 😅

What you see: an exciting, upbeat, adventurous life filled with hopes and dreams and success!

What you don’t see: the very very REAL adjustment to significant change. I truly underestimated the impact of uprooting my life. The job is in a completely new field, I chose to leave the city I adore for life back in the burbs, and I’m having to recreate relationships and connections and a life in this entirely new space. And honestly, there’s been way more downs than ups. Managing the anxiety has been my greatest challenge and something I am working on each day. It’s scary to settle into a new norm! Choosing to do the scary thing over and over is where growth and development live, but it’s necessary (even when I’m tired and want to sit in a corner and cry instead). I share this as a reminder that what we see on social media isn’t the full picture and to say that “doing the scary thing” isn’t as picture perfect as all these motivational people make it sound.

Doing the scary thing is SCARY. It sucks, it’s daunting, it makes anxiety take control of your whole being, and makes us want to run away. However, it’s also temporary. Everything is. SO - if you’re like me, and you’re trying to push through and figure out what your journey in this life is, you’re not alone. I’m not sure anyone really has it all figured out - but while you trudge along the path - remember to breathe, give yourself grace, and know you’re doing the right thing. The universe has your back and so do I ✨

1. Whenever you think something negative, challenge yourself to think of 3 things that are positive/that you’re grateful for. If you can, say them out loud - heck, scream them out loud!
2. Take a mindful minute break. Take a deep breath in through your nose and blow out through your mouth slowly.
3. Smile more, even if you don’t wanna! When we make ourselves smile or laugh, our brains don’t know the difference and we genuinely start to smile and feel good.

Try it out, you won’t be disappointed! I mean what do you have to lose? Except for maybe that sad and unhappy attitude! 🙃•
